Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-05-29 · TheBidScout (private beta)

TheBidScout ("we") helps small businesses find public-sector contracting opportunities. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. We keep data collection to what the product needs.

What we collect

  • Account info: your email address (for passwordless sign-in and report delivery).
  • Company profile: the business details you provide so we can score opportunities for fit (services, locations, set-asides, certifications, capacity).
  • Usage: basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

The opportunity data we score comes from public government sources (e.g. SAM.gov); we do not collect information about you from third parties.

How we use it

To generate and deliver your Weekly Fit Report, authenticate you, operate and secure the service, and communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

How we protect it

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sign-in links and session identifiers are stored only as one-way hashes — never in the clear. Access to your reports requires an authenticated session and is scoped to your own account.

Retention & your choices

We keep your profile and reports while your account is active. You can ask us to export or delete your data, or close your account, by emailing hello@thebidscout.com.
